Students have 5 weeks to complete 6 self guided modules at their own pace on the online platform. During this time, an external WSET educator is available for feedback and questions until exam day.

Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.

The course material should take about 30 hours in total to complete, plus revision time.

In addition to the educational access to the WSET platform, students will receive a complimentary pack via post containing 12 wine samples and food & wine matching components.

Students must complete a 60 minute examination at the end of the course.

Beginners with a basic understanding of wine types and winemaking wishing to gain a more solid knowledge about grape varieties, wine regions and styles, for professional or personal development.

No prior knowledge is required, although absolute beginners should start with Level 1.

  • Students have to be 18 years of age minimum to take part in the non-mandatory wine tasting part of the course.
  • Bookings are treated on a first come-first-serve basis.
  • Your place to the chosen course will only be confirmed upon reception of full payment and completion of the enrolment form.
  • Please allow at least five business days to receive your study material (Level 2 and Level 3 only).
  • If you want to cancel your seat for a WSET class, this must done in writing.
  • If cancelled more than and excluding ten days before the start of the course, a full refund will be processed, minus the cost of your study pack if already sent. ($150 for Level 2, $250 for Level 3)
  • Course cancelled including or less than ten days before the start of the course will not be refunded.
  • The Wine Tip reserves the right to cancel a course in case of insufficient enrolment numbers, in which case students can choose between a free transfer to another date or a full refund (minus study pack fee if applicable).
  • The Wine Tip offers re-sit opportunities only for students who failed their exams. It is not possible to re-sit an exam to achieve a higher mark.
  • Re-sit fees:
    Level 1: $110
    Level 2: $155
    Level 3: Tasting only $120, Theory only $200, $300 for both
  • Important for online students: Before enrolling for online courses, students must ensure they comply with the Remote Invigilation requirements. The Wine Tip cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from an inadequate technical setup or exam environment.
  • If a student commits an infraction during the Remote Invigilated exam leading to disqualification, The Wine Tip cannot be held accountable and no refund will be granted.
